Fremont, CA
We are working closely with the future residents of Mission Peak Village to ensure that their project is perfectly tailored to fit their community. The 32 private units of this Fremont village will enjoy over 4,000 square feet of indoor community space and over 10,000 square feet of outdoor community space. The common house fronts onto the street, with a large porch opening to the sidewalk. Two wings of private residences wrap around the central garden courtyard. Each unit has its own private yard or semi-private balcony space. The site is laid out to maximize solar access to the gardens and views of the surrounding mountains from the homes. The design draws inspiration from nearby farmhouses and mid-century modern architecture. This project also gives founder Brad Gunkel the chance to work with one of his mentors, Katie McCamant, who is acting as the development consultant.
