Sonoma, CA
We are excited to be working with Homeless Action Sonoma on a two-phase project to provide temporary and permanent housing for individuals experiencing homelessness. The first phase of the project includes 22 tiny homes that are currently occupied as temporary shelters, as well as a dining tent, offices, portable restrooms, and showers. Phase two will provide 24 units of permanent supportive housing, a 14-bed shelter, an on-site manager’s unit, training rooms and offices, and a community garden. A new on-site restaurant and teaching kitchen will provide training for residents interested in careers in food service. While the design references the local agrarian vernacular, the building also introduces more contemporary forms and elements.
